Just this past week, Meghan and I visited my parents in Vero and got the opportunity to spend Meghan's birthday with family. My uncle Tom and aunt Nancy were also in Vero at the time, which was an added bonus to the long weekend. Meghan and I were showered with delicious meals (including a visit to my ABSOLUTE favorite restaurant in the world -- Villa Nova -- and a decadent birthday dinner for Meghan comprised of bacon-wrapped fillets and rosemary potatoes), and Meghan got some pretty cool gifts as well. I've inserted a few pictures from the unofficial "birthday party" we had.
Here's the birthday girl in typical TCU gear and party hat. Though the cake would suggest that this was her sixth birthday, she was actually turning twenty-four on this day.

Meghan's birthday party also coincided with the NFL playoffs. Thanks to Dad's unbelievably awesome HDTV, we didn't miss much. How about Eli pulling it out at freezing Lambeau? Wow!

One last thing that I wanted to mention. Over the Christmas holiday I finished the application process for grad schools. I'm now applying to seven different programs: UC Berkeley, UCLA, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Iowa, Ohio State, and Rutgers. I'll keep you posted on how everything progresses.
